Street Theatre Workshop
Yr 9 Drama Club worked with professional street theatre actor Mark Bishop from the Natural Theatre Company on unique pieces of theatre for the Old Town Festival. Mark came in to school and spent the day working with the students who learnt all about the ins and outs of professional Street Theatre.
“I wasn’t sure what to expect, however, I was wonderfully surprised to find that the workshop was mainly about trying things out and having fun with it. Because we were able to look at different pieces of street theatre The Naturals do, I got a lot more out of the day. We did begin to work on pieces that we eventually performed, but bringing in props and stuff that The Naturals use for pieces of street theatre they go out and perform regularly made the experience feel much more professional and also made it a lot more involving for us,” Erin Fletcher, Yr 9.
