Yr 7 Art Workshop at Watchfield Primary School
In June I took a small group of Yr 7 students to Watchfield Primary School to deliver two art workshops to 60 Yr 2 students. The workshops were based on the Beatles song ‘The Yellow Submarine’ as part of their school’s Arts week. Our students devised and ran a workshop which asked the Yr 2 students to make a self-portrait, a raincloud or a flower in the Pop Art style of cut collage. Our students were fabulous teachers and the Yr 2 students had a great time. At the end of the session we put up a display of the work made, which will stay in the school until next January. I was really proud of the work we made. Well done and thank you -Emilia Midwinter 7SA2, Trinity McClymont 7SA2, Marnie Kay 7ST2, Abi Milligan 7W1, Ben Sheppard 7ST1, Alex Michalak 7SA1.
