Robert Buckland MP South Swindon & HM Solicitor General for England and Wales
Robert is 48 and is married to Sian. They have two children, Millicent and George, who are twins. Robert is a barrister specialising in criminal and regulatory law. He is a Governor of The Ridgeway School, Wroughton, having been asked to serve by local residents. Robert's interests include watching rugby, music, history and running about with his young family.
Robert is co-ordinator of the Swindon Special Educational Needs Network, which he launched in 2006 with the support of local parents, teachers and volunteers. The Network meets quarterly, with group sessions and guest speakers. It recently submitted evidence to the Commons Education Select Committee.
Robert regularly publishes articles on his blog and has also written for the Conservative Liberty Forum, amongst others. Robert is a member and supporter of the Steam Ahead Credit Union. He has helped to organise two Green Action Days, involving party helpers and residents cleaning up their local areas. Robert's key issues are crime, education, development and health.
